New-construction warranty pickup on Twin Oaks Valley builds
New-construction garage doors come with a warranty from the builder — usually a one-year full warranty and a longer limited warranty on the door and springs. What the warranty doesn't cover is the fact that builder-grade hardware is usually the cheapest specification the door manufacturer sells, and by year three or four the springs, rollers, and opener are all showing wear that a mid-tier upgrade wouldn't be showing yet.
We do a lot of warranty-window inspections on newer Twin Oaks Valley and San Elijo Hills homes. If we catch a real defect — a bent panel, a warped section, a spring that's already unwinding — we document it so you can get the builder to replace it under warranty. If everything's within tolerance but the hardware is builder-grade cheap, we can upgrade the springs, rollers, and hinges to the mid-tier specification for a fraction of what a full door replacement costs.
